King Georges is proud to be associated with Stanley Island near Plettenberg Bay. Stanley Island is the only privately owned Island in South Africa and is situated in the spectacularly beautiful Keurbooms Lagoon at Plettenberg Bay on the Garden Route. It is an unique weekend getaway as well as a marvellous island wedding venue. Another favourite getaway for many of our guests is Kamala Private Game Reserve near Somerset East. Kamala offers big five game viewing, a range of accommodation options as well as lots of outdoor activities. Accommodation We have eight en-suite spacious guest rooms available, two with private entrances. Each room is individually decorated with beautiful woodwork and provided with private telephones, television sets, hair dryers and coffee and tea making facilities. A private lounge and a bar area are available. Off-street parking is secured by electronically controlled gates. Swimming pool and braai facilities are also at our guests' disposal. Dining Enjoy a private breakfast served by our capable staff and later, if you wish, a "no frills" home cooked dinner of the day.
