At Aloe Cabins we offer a choice between two semi-detached self-catering cabins, Gwarri and Num-Num. Cabin 1 - Gwarri (sleeps 5 guests) 1 Bedroom with double bed and 2 single beds, toilet / shower en-suite. Open-plan lounge with 1 single bed, fully equipped kitchenette, TV with select DStv, board games. Free standing fans and heater. Wooden deck. Braai/barbeque area and communal swimming pool. Bedding, towels, fresh farm milk, citrus fruit in season and braai wood provided. Cabin 2 - Num-Num (sleeps 4 guests) 1 Bedroom with queen size bed, toilet / bath / shower en-suite. Open-plan lounge with 1 single bed and built-in sleeper couch, fully equipped kitchenette, TV with select DStv, board games. Free standing fans and heater. Wooden deck. Laundry facility available in nearby Addo Village - 8km There are a host of activities offered at Aloe Cabins: As your guide, Charles Marais offers relaxed walks through the Bushveld Flower Reserve where you will hear all about interesting bushveld plants, including their ecology, folklore and medicinal value. Filled with a wide variety of succulents, geophytes and thorny woody plants, the Reserve is a good example of Mesic Valley thicket, Nama Karoo and Riverine Acacia thicket and some Grassveld. (Please note - booking is essential).

We offer four self catering units, and four double rooms en-suite and also have a unit equipped for disabled persons. The rooms are designed to provide cool comfort on the hottest of days, with a shady front veranda. We provide meals on request and have braai facilities should you rather enjoy the open outdoors with a late afternoon sun downer, outside the pub or near the river. We are happy to cater for the lone traveler, couples or groups and cater for large gatherings on arrangement.

Choose between three separate lodging options, each privately located. The Lodge The main lakeside lodge comprises a convivial central living and entertainment area under thatch, and surrounded by expansive decks. Ideal for groups or individuals that appreciate their privacy, the five en-suite chalets are totally separate, each with own entrance, stoep and wood-burning fireplace, and furnished with king-size bed under thatch. There is a private pool for cooling off in and an enclosed boma for entertaining under the stars. The lodge can be booked as a self-catered or fully-catered break. The Manor House Located a short driving distance from the lodge, the manor house is ideal for a close-knit group of friends or two families, with generous living spaces, two separate accommodation wings (total 6 bedrooms, 4 en-suite) and breathtaking views. The huge stone-clad pool and deep shaded verandah with large barbecue encapsulates the sense of generosity that pervades the house. The Cottage The compact one-bedroom cottage sleeps 2, or can be utilized by a small family. There is an outdoor barbecue. Amathunzi is the ideal venue for special birthday celebrations, family reunions and a getaway to reunite old friends. You can hire just the lodge (sleeps 10) or the manor (sleeps 12), or hire the entire reserve (sleeps 24)

Bed & Breakfast Rooms Well equipped rooms with luxurious beds and bed linen ensure a very comfortable stay. Three of our 5 rooms have en-suite bathrooms and the other two rooms have privately allocated bathrooms and the rates are less than the en-suite rooms. Our rooms are equipped with TV, coffee and tea facilities, refrigerator, hair dryer, radio / alarm clock, to name a few. We provide toiletries and luxurious bath towels. Self Catering Unit Our self-catering unit has a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, lounge and bedroom in an open-plan bachelor style apartment. It has a private entrance and carport. The luxury en-suite room hides a romantic, Victorian bath behind a hand-painted wooden roomdivider. There is a garden with lovely views of Platberg Mountain and a porch for guests to relax or enjoy their complimentary sherry on arrival. Our property is very secure, with surrounding wall and electric gates, as well as motion detection lasers on the exterior of the house. Armed response is just a button click away and we provide safe, carport parking for vehicles.

Five stylish bedrooms include quality king-size or twin beds, underfloor heating in the full bathrooms (free standing shower, bath etc), heated towel rails, kitchenette (fully equipped with stove / oven, microwave, fridge, kettle, cuttlery, crockery etc.) and balcony / verandah with lovely views onto the river. Every unit has a weber braai at its disposal. Please note: The satellite TV (including M-Net) is a shared one. The balcony and private verandahs invite guests to relax and enjoy the spectacular views and the tranquil surroundings. The sun sets behind the river and the hills which can be experienced from anywhere on the property. Why not have a swim in the river, or catch some fish or enjoy the scenery on one of our canoes? The Anchorage is operated by a friendly German-South African couple - Annette and Craig Thorne - who have been in the hospitality industry for many years. You can choose between Self Catering or Bed and Breakfast accommodation and delicious breakfasts are served. There is also a restaurant on the property. The Anchorage is perfect place to unwind and relax. Braai (barbecue) areas (ie Weber braais) and Canoes available. Stillbay or Stilbaai is a peaceful seaside resort far from the madding crowd. Also known as the Bay of Sleeping Beauty, it is one of the most attractive destinations along the fantastic Whale Coast between Cape Agulhas and the start of the Garden Route. The way of life in the small town is centred around the placid sea and river estuary which are visible from virtually any vantage point, creating a unique ambience experienced by all who visit Stillbay. The long white sandy Blue Flag beach lends itself to gentle strolls or exhilarating long walks, while the clean, clear ocean and river waters are perfect for water sports. There is a brilliant right break off the point. The river mouth is an ideal kitesurfing venue, especially when the strong east winds blow.
