The Queen Elizabeth Suite Named after the pink Queen Elizabeth Rose, the Queen Elizabeth Suite is a deluxe, air conditioned suite that opens directly onto our quiet large, private garden where we have over 600 rose bushes, and abundant birdlife. The ceilings of this suite are of Spanish reed and are tied in the traditional manner. The beams are local pine. The king-size bed was made by our cousin Adin from Canary Pine to his own design, as are the side tables and lamps. The mattress was custom made for us by the School for the Blind in Worcester. The Double Delight Suite Named after the deep pink and cream Double Delight Rose, the Double Delight Suite is a deluxe, air conditioned suite with en-suite bathroom that opens directly onto our quiet large, private garden. The ceilings of this suite are of Spanish reed and are tied in the traditional manner. The beams are local pine. The queen-size bed is made from Yellowwood and Kiaat to cousin Adin's design, as are the side tables which are made from Canary Pine and Cypress. The Ecstasy Rose Suite Our latest addition, and equivalent of a Honeymoon suite, the beautifully appointed Ecstasy Rose Suite is named after the Ecstasy rose which grows abundantly in the gardens outside the room. With fantastic mountain views, featuring a Queen Size leather Sleigh bed with hand crafted side tables made from Rose Wood. The dresser and wardrobe are original stinkwood antiques. A large luxurious bathroom with double bath, double vanity and double walk-in shower. Tonevale Game Farm was established in June 2003 on a 500 ha portion of natural bush adjoining a working sugar cane farm. As of 2009 The Game Farm has become exclusively a Game Ranch and has extended to 600ha. At the time, when the game fence was erected, a small group of animals such as duiker, impala, kudu and nyala occurred naturally in the area. In 2003 a programme was started to re-introduce natural species. In October 2003, two giraffe from Imfolosi Game Reserve were introduced as well as small breeding herds of impala, wildebeest, warthog, nyala and zebra. Over the next few years, more species were introduced including two white Rhino in September 2005. All the introductions have been extremely successful and in October 2005 we welcomed the birth of a baby giraffe followed shortly thereafter by a baby rhino not to mention countless young of the other species. The management of Tonevale Game Farm have developed the land in an environmentally sensitive manner, embarking on an alien plant eradication programme and encouraging the return of natural vegetation. A pleasing result of this is the return of abundant bird and small mammal life to the area.
