Bubuhle is a 15 acre secluded property in its own valley (Picture 1) with a perennial tumbling stream and wetland. We offer three self-catering cottages: Hadeda Cottage: This thatched cottage has an open-plan sitting, dining and kitchen area with fireplace. The main bedroom has a queen-size bed, with en-suite shower and toilet. Overlooking the living area is a mezzanine level with two single beds. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove and geyser, microwave oven and fridge, as well as all the required cooking and eating utensils. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a braai area outside and firewood is supplied. Loerie Cottage: This luxury thatched cottage is open-plan with a queen-size four-poster bed and sitting area in front of an open fireplace, and a kitchen/dining area extension. There is an open shower and separate toilet, as well as an outside shower. The cottage has a covered verandah. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove and geyser, microwave oven and fridge, as well as all the required cooking and eating utensils. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a braai area outside and firewood is supplied. Heron Cottage: This rondavel thatched cottage has a queen-size bed, two easy chairs and a fireplace in its main section, with en-suite shower and toilet. The kitchen/dining area extends in an open-plan design from the rondavel. The kitchen is equipped with gas stove and geyser, microwave oven and fridge, as well as all the required cooking and eating utensils. Bedding and towels are provided. There is a braai area outside and firewood is supplied.

Our thatch roof cottage is ideal for a family of four. It has a bathroom leading off the main bedroom and two single beds upstairs in the loft. A cot for babies is also available. There is a small kitchenette with a microwave, kettle, fridge and a hotplate (for self catering guests). We have a television with DSTV in the lounge area of the cottage. Under cover parking is available next to the cottage. English or continental breakfasts are served on the verandah overlooking the pool and dam or if preferred, in the cottage. We also serve dinner on request. Guests can enjoy walks in tranquil surroundings on the farm. We have a bird hide on the dam for those who enjoy bird watching. For the keen fisherman, the dam is the ideal place to relax, just remember to bring your own rods. Our dam is also perfect for canoeing and rowing boats. We have an ideal mountain bike terrain through our plantations. Our swimming pool can be enjoyed by those who want to relax and soak up the sunshine. If guests are interested in seeing the farming activity, drives can be arranged to do so. Arrangements can also be made for the following activities: game viewing, horse riding and hunting.

THE COTTAGE: The cottage sleeps 4, one double room with king-size bed, and one room with twin beds. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a gas stove, microwave and washing machine. There is one bathroom with shower, basin and toilet. The lounge/dining area is open plan with DSTV and a fireplace and there is an outdoor braai area. The stoep has a stunning view of the lake and surrounding hills and forests. There is a covered carport. THE GARDEN FLAT: The garden flat is under the main house and has a separate entrance with a covered stoep, from which you have a lovely view of the lake and surrounding hills and forests. There is a portable braai on the stoep, and a covered carport. The flat has a mini kitchen with microwave and gas hob, kettle, toaster and fridge and a breakfast counter. This unit sleeps 2+1. The bedroom/lounge area is comfortably furnished with a king-size bed with electric blankets, and a sleeper couch for a third person and two lounge chairs. DSTV is also provided. The bathroom consists of a shower, basin and toilet. There is much to explore in the surrounding area which is a very diverse region. This area is actually the northernmost range of the Drakensberg with the highest mountain in Limpopo, the Iron Crown towering above the village of Haenertsburg, 6 kms from Cair Paravel. In Haenertsburg there are restaurants, coffee shops, a pub, gift shops, interior design shops, speciality foods, and a health shop, as well as the supermarket, "The Foodzone" which has some interesting deli items as well as all the usual groceries you might need. An ATM is available at the Foodzone. The local petrol station and garage is open from 6 am to 8 pm every day. The nearby Ebenezer Dam offers boating, water skiing, yachting, bass fishing, sunset cruises on a houseboat and the annual Ebenezer Mile swim. There are internationally recognised mountain bike races in the surrounding mountains and forests, and there are many hiking trails.

House On the property is a four bedroom (3 double rooms and 1 single room), double storey, family home which can accommodate 6 to 7 people in comfort, making it a real home away from home, with all the comforts you are used to. The property runs down onto 600m of private beach with a tidal pool. The beach however extends for many kilometres which is unrestricted for those morning walks, romantic sunset walks, or fishing expeditions. Back at the house, with it's endless views, are all the facilities you need to offer a holiday to remember. There is a built-in braai which is accessible from the inside as well as the sun-deck. For a really social bushveld style braai, there is a large stone wall Lapa with fridge and wash-up facilities. The Lapa is built into the surrounding bush and is well protected from the wind. Flatlet Situated below the main house is a quaint flatlet. The flat contains one bedroom with a double bed, a seperate bathroom with only a shower, and a fully equipped kitchen. Caravans On the estate we have two caravans - the "Wilk" and the "Jurgens". Both are fully equipped as well as each of them having their own braai areas. Each have their own private shower and toilet facities making it the ultimate bush experience. For those really hot days, there's a splash pool to cool off in. Being at the house and Lapa it also makes it easy to keep an eye on the kids while they're enjoying the pool. There's plenty of open space for the kids to ride bicycles if you want to bring cycles with, and there are no neighbours to complain if the kids make a bit of noise. Regret, no animals allowed, as this is a conservation area. There is an on-site manager should you need any assistance. The town of Gouritzmond (and the Gouritz River) is approx. 9 km South East of Cannon Valley, and Vlees Bay is approx. 6 km to the North. De Pakhuys offers a choice of two self-catering cottages. Choose between De Pakhuys Chalet that sleeps 6 people or romantic Waboomhuys, sleeping two (plus one child). De Pakhuys Chalet De Pakhuys Chalet is named after the original farm, Pakhuis, established in the late 1700's by Dutch settlers moving north from the Cape Town area. The cottage has two bedrooms, one and half bathrooms and has been extensively renovated and luxuriously furnished to accomodate 6 guests in comfort. The air-conditioned unit will ensure utmost comfort during the hot summer months and the fireplace makes for cosy winter evenings. The chalet offers all modern comforts including Satellite Television, land line telephone, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, full bathroom with shower and bath tub. The chalet offers beautiful views of the surrounding farmland and towering Cederberg mountain range in all directions. Guests are welcome to enjoy the swimming pool on a hot summer's day, have a braai outside, or simply relax and admire the view. Braai packs are available on request and wood is provided free of charge. Waboomhuys Cottage Waboomhuys is a romantic cottage for two, comfortably appointed and overlooking the sparkling swimming pool. It offers a generous living area with jetmaster fireplace, bathroom with shower and well equipped kitchen with fridge, microwave, two-plate stove and oven, cutlery, crockery and all utensils needed for a comfortable stay. Towels, bed linen and fire wood are provided free of charge. Enjoy the outside braai facilties (braai packs are available on request) and relax next to the inviting swimming pool. The farm offers a beautiful scenic drive to the top section of the farm accessible only with a 4x4 vehicle.
