The Afrikaanse Taalmuseum en -monument consists of a unique sculpture on Paarl Mountain, celebrating one of Africa's youngest languages, and a house museum in Paarl that gives an overview of Afrikaans's origins. The institution's vision is to expand the institution into a dynamic and inclusive one that promotes the linguistic diversity of Afrikaans within the context of a multicultural society.

Iziko Museums of South Africa (Iziko) is a schedule 3 public entity (not of profit) and operates 11 national museums, Planetarium, Social History Centre and three collection-specific libraries in Cape Town. The museums that make up Iziko each have their own history and character presenting extensive art, social and natural collections that reflect our diverse African heritage. Iziko is an isiXhosa word meaning 'hearth' - traditionally and symbolically the social centre where food is prepared and shared, stories told, and knowledge passed from one generation to the next. Similarly, the national museums that make up Iziko are spaces for cultural interaction, where people can gather, share, learn and connect with our history, art and natural world.

Robben Island Museum (RIM) is a public entity responsible for managing, maintaining, presenting, developing and marketing Robben Island as a national estate and World Heritage Site. It was established by the Department of Arts and Culture in 1997 and declared a World Heritage Site in 1999 by The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
